Any W16 owners out there? Or Canyon 600 owners?

Seems to be a rare species round here and I'm keen to contact any other
    owners for discussion, commiseration, etc.

I live over the ditch but don't let that put you off - it doesn't put me
    off!

    Regards,

    Jazz.

Nah, but I once rode a River 500 and it was a lot of fun.
And I quite wanted a Navigator 900 for a bit, but never
    found the cash.
There's a few here from further away than that!

Hi, Clem and Sharks et al...

the 600 was sized down to 500 after a couple of years and I believe the
River and the Canyon had the same engines as the W16. The Gran Canyon and
Elefant were the vtwins 900 and 750? I think. Not much info round here and
I haven't found another W16 owner yet downunder (that will cough to it)

I'm beginning to think Italian design and workmanship is sort of like
Q: "Who fired the last bullet into Mussolini's body"
A: "A whole squad of Italian sharpshooters"

The W16 was put out as a Nato military bike too I think. Its quite like a
lightweight DR suzi, a bit shorter to the seat, alloys, Brembos and plastic
tank, and when going is really quite good.

Most of the bits are generic (as is the way with Cagiva) but unfortunately
they are prone to starter clutch problems, and this one had that a year or
two back and it damaged the LH main bearing and crankcase. By the time I
get it fixed it *should* be a goodie.....

They never sold here because at the time they couldn't compete pricewise
with the Japo trailies - mine is THE well run in/thrashed ex demo bike.....

I thought it would be a little bit of a novelty alongside my bucket, the VTR
and the Vulcan, and so far, it sure is. At least it would be if it was
    going!
