1993 VFR750?

    Hi all,

    Want some opinions / experiences of the early VFR750's. There is one
    local going at a reasonable price. I have a VTR1000, great bike, but a
    bit sporty for me. I want a more comfortable commuting bike that I can
    ride and do most jobs. I have a race bike and that keeps me ammused, but
    this is to be something that's a good bike to run all year round.

    Any weak spots? Faults? problems? I've heard some very good things about
    the later model ones, but what about the early ones? Pre-800 etc.?

    The damn regulator/rectifier. It'll go bang when you least expect
    leaving you with an unrideable bike.

    Replace it with a Yamaha one (R1 is a straight swap I believe) as soon
    as you get the bike.
