1992 907IE: Can't upshift from 2nd

    My younger brother dropped the bike in the garage while moving
    it...bent shift lever, and now bike does not shift up from 2nd gear.
    I straightened the lever and checked the shift rod for straightness,
    nothing is binding, but it just will not go into any gear higher
    than 2nd...Any ideas?

    Hey thanks, it was exactly what you said, the the shift peg screw backed out
    when I put my weight on the shift peg and contacted the lickage rod.
    tightened it up and all is fine.
