1984 Honda V45 750cc speed sensor

    I have a 3 wire speed sensor and cannot find any reference to it in the
    Haynes or Clymer manuals. They all talk about a two wire system. How can I
    tell if it is working or not? The sysmptoms are the trip meter does not
    function nor does the auto signal cancelling unit. The sensor seems to be
    the common mode failure. Anybody have a schematic for a 1984?
