I need a set of new rear shocks for a 1971 CB175 . Does anyone know where I
might be able to get a set for this old of a bike ?
    OEM's are no longer available.
    Thanks,

Open an ebay account if you don't have one. Then set up a search in
MyEbay for "CB175" or so, so that you get email when there is a match.
You may have to wait a month or a year. I expect that that will get you
    a used pair at least.

You might want to look at aftermarket shocks... The original CB shocks are basically just spring holders. Progressive, Hagon, or Works all make ones to fit. Or look for NOS Koni's like I have - a pair of those and some front-end setup, and you'll have a much better handling machine.

  4. There are more aftermarket shocks to fit this thing than you can shake
    a stick at.

If so, can you lead me to a website or point me in the right direction ?

  6. They're standard issue cheapo Honda lightweight shocks. Honest. Clevis
    attachment bottom, eyelet top.

Just look at an aftermarket accessory catalogue, and select the usual
Taiwanese or Chinese equivalents. Or ask any dealer to source something.
If you can get one with the same distance between the mounting points,
so much the better, but if it's a bit longer it really doesn't matter
    once you're sitting on it.

I've owned CB and CD175s and never had any trouble at all sourcing shox.
The web isn't always the easiest way, you know.
