Another bike gets taken out by a cager trying to exit the Dog and
Partridge pub on the A128 at Bulphan.

Seems he did a better job than I, he managed to put the cager into
    hospital.

Bike rider was reported as being seriously injured but not life
    threatening.

    Excellent news.

This'll probably get you a light sentence from the Not Another Fucking
Biker Down We Don't Know Thread faction.

    Not so good.

    Report on the bike?

Oh dear. It's a shame because that's a nice bit of fast A road which is
quite fun on a bike. They'll probably now turn it from a NSL into a 30mph
limit thus ensuring we hit emerging cars at slightly slower speeds.

Funnily enough, it's quite a good pub. Recently it seems to be frequented by
bikers on Tuesday nights as a sort of overspill from the Dick Turpin. It's
only drawback is that unless you live in Bulphan you have to drive / ride to
it or get a cab as it's in the middle of nowhere.

I wonder if any of the drivers involved was over the limit.

Hard to suspect not, given the location.

Details, if made public, will be in the Basildon/Thurrock editions of
    one of the local rags.

No idea who he was, it was the location and type of RTA that I thought
was more important especialy to those that may at times use that
    particular road.

No, it just seems that that location is a bad place for RTA's, its not
an obvious black spot, its got good visibility etc, its just that
serious RTA's seem to happen there on a regular basis.

BTW K, how is your own progress going? Last time I saw you there were
    possibilities of licence(s) returning.

Hog fascinated us all by saying...
He'd do well to speak to Mike, Eddie's dad, at the Black Horse. He's
selling an absolutely mint and brand new looking 67[1] mile old Virago
535 at the moment cos he never gets the time to ride it.

[1] Yes, 67 miles. And I think Bruce Porter's done half of those.

    Oi Kev. Right on mate.

If you want another 535 that one is a nice looking bike. A tad too much
    chrome for my taste though.

You may be able to see it parked up by the pub in some of the EOSM
    photos.

And no, there has been several versions released, some with more
plastic and some with more chrome.

    http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products/mcy/epic/500/96_royalStar_1_600.jpg
is more the style I would be after, rather than the latest offering
    such as
    http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products/mcy/500/04VENTURE_WHT_1.jpg

Unlike most cruisers it has the downrated V4 V-Max lump to power it,
so more power is available with a few modifications.

Too much power, If I had it I would use it, thats why I would not
