    How competitive would this be against a supersport class race of bikes, say
    at Daytona?

    It would probably be competitive against the AMA Super Bikes at Daytona, may
    actually beat them still. Problem is that how long could you keep the thing
    running, with likely no spare parts. You would have to have your own
    machining done to repair anything that broke. Repairing things like
    pistons, rings and crankshafts could get real costly. It's basically a
    museum piece.
