This event is just getting more and more wierd.

    Superstock - 13 Laps, 60k (a normal SStk race)
Supersport - 22 Laps, 100k (long for SSport)
    Superbike - 15 Laps, 70k (SB is normally a 100K event)
    FX runs the 200.

Oh well, it's not like we're not used to truncated events in the AMA anyway.

I think the 200 is usually on the boring side, I can't imagine
how boring it will be now that it is the FX class. I will
definitely record and FFWD through it later.

Is there any reason given for the 70k Superbike?

I'm thinking tires too. That's the only thing that makes sense.

Does the banking consume that much extra fuel to require a shorter race?

I'm disappointed because I think the SB should be the premiere race, and now
it's being "upstaged" by both the 200 and the SSport races.

I think the 200 this year is going to be particularly bad. Last year we had
Great Drama, albeit an unexciting finish, year before we had 3 bikes in a
chase for the flag. I don't know if we're going to have that close of a race
this year or not. Who's running Hondas in FX? We going to have the Jake and
Miguel show again, or will it be Miguel and Kurtis show? Basically, is FX
going to be anymore competitive this year compared to last year? Also, if
Duhamel wins, does that count towards "number of Daytona 200 victories"? I'm
all for another notch in his gunbelt, but...I like even playing fields as
well. Would Duhamels "5 wins" be the same as Russels, for example.

    Bah...
