I have a 1998 FXD that I would like to have modified to be fuel
injected. I haven't been able to locate any information on aftermarket
kits or parts for the project. Have you any suggestions? Thanks,Joe O

  2. If you're thinking of using the Harley genuine kit, God knows what it
will cost. And you'll need a whole new wiring loom as well.

I'd sell it and buy an injected bike.

    Sir

Why do you want Fuel Injection, with a properly set up carb, I feel
you will be better off, now Fuel Injection on a modern day import engine
is different, but on a air cooled old design engine, I don't see it much
of an advantage, like one of the users said, the wiring harness may be
    an enpensive ordeal also.

S&S sells a 'bolt on' fuel injection system. You will need a Harley fuel
    injection harness first, however.
You might want to check Pippi's web site for his homebrew fuel injection
    http://uglytech.com/uglytech.nsf

Be prepared for a lifetime of 'fun' with FI. Since they are open loop
systems, every change you make will require remapping. This isn't easy
even with the proper software and rolling road for testing.

I think you need to sort out your attributions, old chap.
