Yeah well... unoriginal in many respects, ain't gonna get that kind of
    money for it.

Even if it had the right pipes and seat and paint and was tidier round
the lights and cables, I don't think Z9s are bringing 7 grand let alone
    10.

Ah well, I guess ebay is a cheap way of finding out you are a dreamer.

Mind you, I'm boggled to find that people would pay maybe 10 grand for
my old Loopframe Guzzi. can't last though, can't be that many loonies
in the country! And they aren't making that kind of loony any more, the
later model loonies are probably looking at later model weird bikes...

No, mine;s the earlier model, R25/2, more rounded (I think better
looking!) and with teles not Earles.

Ithought that one was very funny too, a top notch 250 BMW will bring
$4000 top money as far as I know.

Don't see 'em for sale often, but when you do they are $3000-$4000.

That's the thing. If it's in original condition, and this Ebay example
isn't, then it'd be worth more. Or at least, a more attractive item as a
    collectible.

It's like these kids who get VN Commodores, tack fibreglass on them and
try and flog 'em off as SS "lookalikes" at SS prices. Best bikes etc.
get best prices if they're in original condition.

Looks like it's had some mods done to it. I can't recall for sure, but
I think the 73 model was the Z1 and it had a single disc at the front.

    There was a Z1-A and a Z1-B, then came the Z900 in around 1975. A mate
has one. I'll email this to him and see what he reckons.
