justice will have to be found in the civil process by the family against janklow because it sure wasn't found today in the criminal process. I sure hope you're right and BIG TIME. Just makes me want to scream .... justice ain't blind! Shit. Don't have much more I can say. I'm just outraged. Damn.
Did a jury do the sentencing, or was it done by a judge? Oma Walk with many, follow The One. (to email, change nospam to w000023)
Good question, Oma.. I don't think this one has been addressed.. I'd be interested in who pronounced the sentence.. Your friend in Irving Bill Walker
judge. no sentencing nor fine minimums in south dakota so he was free to do whatever he wanted in sentencing. the story is pretty available if you want to track it down. i figgered by now anyone who cared knew about it. in a perverse manner, it does keep janklow available for the massive wrongful death suit he now faces from the family so there is justice to be served, it's just up to the wronged party to seek it on their own. a good plaintiffs attorney will take janklow apart but you know jankow is also scrambing to distribute his assets so they wont be taken in the civil case. american justice, it's the best money can buy...... -- jam '73 R75/5 Toaster (not for sale) '99 R1100RT (in use) '00 FLHRCI (sold!) LOL.. ain't it the truth.. Janklow is one arrogant sob.. Here's hoping they clean him out.. The sad part is that no amount of money will bring that ol' biker back to his family..
