    So...
I had this fantasy that a nice mid 90's BMW R1100RS would suddnly appear in
my life, just as soon as I found a solid full-time job in the IT support
    field.
That it would be the perfect commuter/tourer sort of bike that would go
nicely with an easy commute to my dream job.
    Then
I got both. Will wonders never cease?

  2. That last part is impressive.

I quit my job last November, and started looking again mid- to late-
May. I found a job quickly and started working around the end of
June, but at a significantly lower salary than before.

All I want now is for a large portion of the clueless populace to go back
    whence they came...

Then I will be happy, and might consider riding again...

I didn't crash, there was a sudden burst of gravity.

  5. I forgot to mention that we're hiring-- I need a QA person, and we
need a UI guy and an application-level java guy. The listings are
    posted on our site, www.tribe.net

They probably will. I hope in your case not for a long while.
Congratulations on your ride and the means to fund it.
