Anyone recommend a dial up service which has a 0800 access number? Its
for a Phillipino lad whose been sent over to learn our jobs. Any idea on
    monthly cost appreciated.

entwisi emerged from their own little world to say
I use Tesco.net as a dial up when not at home.

Their unlimited package is £12.49 a month.

It's rebadged NTL which, checks website, is available at the same price.

It does everything I need it to when away from broadband. Probably
    intolerable as a primary ISP.

Do they have an 0800 access number? He needs to be able to access it from
    a number of phone lines.

I think you will find that most ISPs use CLID to validate a customer to
    reduce fraud.

NTL allow you to dial up from 2 numbers using 0800 access. Obviously
they will only allow one connection at any one time. It wouldn't make
commercial sense to allow 0800 access from random telephone lines.
    http://www.home.ntl.com/page/userpolicy has details.

What sort of pikey broadband package have you got, that doesn't include
    a dial-up number?

You have a broadband package that also has 0800 dial-up included? *boggle*

I don't get an 0800 (except when on a TW phone line), but I also get a
    dialup for nonTW lines.

No, it's got an 0845 number included, but that's enough for the odd
occassions when I'm away from any other connection. I wouldn't pay for a
    seperate 0800 number.

I have NTL broadband at home.

If I used NTL's 0845 access when at my mum's she would have to pay for the
    call.

I use a Tesco.net dial up connection which uses a toll free (not 0800)
number and I get a monthly bill charged to my credit card. It's charged at
    a flat rate of 1p a minute.

This setup suits my personal circumstances to **** you!

  17. Onetel do a 0808 which is the same thing and you can use that from any
location. I only use it as PAYG now at 1p a minute but IIRC it was
    £13.99 unlimited use.

If you decide to do it, drop me an email and I'll give you my details,
that way we both get £20 off our next bill.
