‘‘If i were to, say, go to Denver in September. I'd go to Denver and
THEN stop for the rest. I'd have the rest of the day to goof around and
be staged for some good riding west of there early the next day. why
screw around in places like Texline?
FYI: Ft. Worth to Cheyene, WY and over to Rawlins is about 16 hours.

‘‘Unnnnnnhuh?’’ Sure!! Mark, I don't know the milage from FW
to Cheyene, but lets say one rides 80 miles every hour of the 16 hrs,
    that's uh,1296 miles .
how about 70 miles every hour on the 16 hr. ride, that'd be what, 1136
    miles.’’
I know you've heard me type this, but I'll say it again,‘‘My Helmets
    off to ya'’’

Holy Shit.. Bjay.. are you nuts, or what.. That fat freak will be building
pianos for the next two weeks proving that your numbers won't work..
Sheesh.. ROTFL.. That's what I love about these guys, they post some kind
of elaborate horse manure and then come back in a while and just destroy
everything they are talking about.. Regards

total miles for that segment was just about 1011. plenty of stops. 11
gallons of fuel. 287/87/64 up to 25 n to cheyene w on 80 to rawlins.
just go with the flow of traffic and it was over 63 mph average: slower
on the state highways and faster on the interstates. get out of Tx and
the posted interstate limit out west is 75.

On day 2 I went from Rawlins through SLC to Boise, up to Riverside, back
down to Winnemmucca, NV and across to Gerlach. That last 100 miles was
what I would be consider the "challenge". It was quite the adventure. So
much so I wrote it up here:
    http://www.bikes-n-spikes.org/rides/jungo.txt

the 4 hours that the last 100 miles took put me in at 21 hours but only
15 minutes before they closed up the casino for the night and access to
a rental room at the motel wouldn't have been possible (sleeping on the
    bike being the result).
