    Blimey that service was a bit more than I expected!

    1 x r/h opening rocker @ 77.42 = 77.42
    2 x l/h opening rocker @ 77.42 = 154.84
    2 x 2.90 opening shim @ 2.95 = 5.90
    1 x 2.70 opening shim @ 2.95 = 2.95
    4 x cam carrier shim @ 0.19 = 0.76
    2 x opening cam cover gasket @ 0.93 = 1.86
    2 x closing cam cover gasket @ 0.93 = 1.86
    1 x intake duct gasket @ 0.80 = 0.80
    2 x rocker pin gasket @ 0.77 = 1.54
    1 x oil filter @ 5.01 = 5.01
    1 x sump plug washer @ 0.12 = 0.12
    2 x cam belt @ 28.09 = 57.80
    2 x fork outer tubes* s/h @ 133 = 266
    2 x oil seal @ 7.89 = 15.78
    1 x shell 7.5w fork oil @ 8.51 = 8.51
    1 x fuel pump o-ring @ 4.88 = 4.88
    1 x fuel filter @ 11.63 = 11.63
    3.3 x shell ultra oil @ 7.66 = 25.28
    2 x DCPR9E spark plugs @ 5.96 = 11.92
    2.5 x coolant @ 5.11 = 12.78
    sundries = 4.26

    * should be £626.35 each [1]

    Total = 671.90
    + 10 x hours labour @ £40ph = 400
    Sub Total = 1,071.90
    + VAT @ 17.5% = 187.58

    Grand Total = 1,259.48

    Less Discount of £916.44 = £376.84 to pay :) [2]

    [1] my fork bodies had corroded badly and Mitch had some
    second hand ones in stock which he let me have cheap
    [2] for very large values of :)

    The new ones are ok, the 97-99 ones are where they
    had problems with crap chrome, so they should be
    ok now. Fingers crossed!

    What do you expect, if you buy a bike more likely to fall apart than a
    Harley?

  7. Imo, if Duc produced a shite component they should foot the bill for
    free replacements.
